Over Power Protection and Max Wattage
The Cougar LX is only a 500w power supply. Despite that though, in terms of it’s overpower testing, the improvements that Cougar suggested had been made appear to be entirely validated. Achieving over 159 additional watts of output before the protections kicked in is an excellent comfort zone to have. To achieve an OPP rating that is 30% higher than the ‘box’ suggests is impressive for any power supply manufacturer.
