Cougar MG130-G mATX Gaming Case Review

Exterior

As you can see, I’m out in the garden for a bit, we’re all on lockdown anyway, so I may as well get as much sun as I can, right!? So, onto the MG130-G, and wow, it looks pretty great actually. There’s a bit tempered glass window down the left side, with a heavy tint to it.

A nice care sticker telling to the proper way to remove the glass, as this one needs to be lifted out in a specific way to prevent damage.

The glass is held in place by four thumbscrews.

The right side panel is just a plain black metal panel, nice and simple. This panel is held in place by two thumbscrews at the rear of the case.

The front panel is really cool looking, with a design that leans forward at the top. It’s a plastic panel, but they’ve treated it to give it a more metallic look, and there are ventilation slots around the edges too so the front fans can breathe.

For even more air flow, you’ll find a massive magnetic dust filter up on the top.

It offers up a bank of 120mm and 140mm spaced mounts, so you can easily get a slim radiator and a load of fans up here too.

Towards the front, there’s a nice control panel, offering up a pair of audio jacks, two USB ports, as well as all your typical power controls.

Around the back of the case, there’s a pre-installed 120mm exhaust fan, and there are additional holes to adjust the overall height of that mount.

There are four expansion slots, since this is an mATX case. There’s a slider on the right to allow for a little more wiggle room when installing your expansion cards too.

Finally, on the base, you’ll find four small feet providing ground clearance, as well as a nice quality slide-out dust filter for the PSU.
