COUGAR Release Stunning Airface ECO PC Case
COUGAR has long been one of my favourite PC case brands, many of the ones I’ve reviewed have been amazing, although admittedly it’s been quite a few years since we had one in. Their designs are always interesting, and their quality and prices are often very competitive too. Now they’re back again with the new Airface ECO RGB mid-tower PC case, which they say has built-in eco-conscious cooling.
- Coned vents leverage thermodynamic principles to maximize cooling efficiency.
- Preinstalled 2 x front 180mm PWM cooling fans.
- Innovative quick-slide dust filter.
- Removable top panel and detachable front bracket facilitates effortless assembly.
- Modular front I/O allows versatile placement.
- Upgraded new vertical GPU space improves cooling.
- Increased cable routing.
They go on to say that “sustainability is hardwired into the Airface ECO RGB’s design ethos, ensuring cooling efficiency at reduced energy costs.” and what they’re really saying is that it has good airflow, but they’re trying really hard to put a green spin on that. Fair play to them I guess, but one thing I do know is that the new wide opening funnel inlefts on the front panel look pretty fantastic.
Especially on the white model, which reminds me of that rather gorgeous, albeit stupidly expensive Apple case design from a few years ago. Paired with dual 180mm fans, I don’t doubt this thing can cool very efficiently.
Cougar also say that it comes with excellent dust filtration, with filters on three ventilated sides; the front, top and bottom. One feature I do love is the quick-slide front dust filter; anything that speeds up maintenance gets a big thumbs up from me.
Price and Availability
The Cougar Airface ECO RGB sure has a strange name, but it’s without a doubt a great-looking case, and at around £109/$109 it’s competitively priced too. Stock in the US is available at Amazon and Newegg, and the UK and Europe stock should land in the coming weeks, so keep an eye out for that! More information here.
