Cougar VTE 500w Power Supply Review

Over Power Protection and Max Wattage

Being rated to 500-watts, it’s not uncommon for power supplies to be able to perform slightly beyond those remits. When that does happen, however, it’s exceptionally important that the power supply looks to protect both itself and your system components via over-power protection.

Well, in this regard, the Cougar VTE does very well indeed. Firstly, the OPP worked perfectly, but not before it managed to squeeze out an extra 150-watts.
