Creative 2c Wireless Speakers With Stereo Pairing Review

Introduction

Creative is one of the most recognisable and best-established brands in the world of audio. They have a long history of creating speakers for the PC market, and in recent years have become a leading brand in the mobile market too. With that in mind, I’m really looking forward to taking a look at, and a listen to, their latest Bluetooth speakers, the Creative 2c.

Palm-sized Water-resistant Bluetooth® Speaker with Built-in MP3 Player

“Featuring a water-resistant outer shell, the compact Creative MUVO 2c lets you take your epic tunes through your life’s adventures. With a 6-hour battery life and a size that fits in the palm of your hand, you can play your music out loud anywhere beyond your imagination. Connecting to the MUVO 2c is simple. Simply connect via a host of input sources including Bluetoothconnectivity. You can also connect two MUVO 2c speakers together wirelessly to enjoy a wider stereo experience and bigger sound performance. The MUVO 2c is available in four colors. Complete with rubberized finish, the tactility makes the speaker easy to grip in your hand.” – Creative

In terms of specifications, it may be a small speaker, but it’s certainly not lacking. It comes with a huge range of connectivity options such as Bluetooth, Aux, USB and a built-in music player via MicroSD. One cool feature is that you can pair it with another 2C for stereo audio, and guess what? We’ve got two of them right here in the eTeknix office to do just that!
The Muvo 2c comes packaged in a nice presentation box, with a clear casing that allows you to get a great look at the overall design. There are a few details on the box about performance and specs too, handy if you’re picking one of these up in a retail store.

Crammed into the bottom of that tiny box, you’ll find quite a lot of documentation, as well as a fairly easy to follow setup guide, and a USB cable that can be used for both charging and USB audio from PC simultaneously.

As a child still in my 30's (but not for long), I spend my day combining my love of music and movies with a life-long passion for gaming, from arcade classics and retro consoles to the latest high-end PC and console games. So it's no wonder I write about tech and test the latest hardware while I enjoy my hobbies!
