Creative Launches the Sound Blaster Blaze V2 Gaming Headset

Creative Technology has just launched the new Sound Blaster Blaze V2. The Blaze was already a decent and surprisingly affordable gaming headset. However, the Creative Sound Blaster Blaze V2 looks to be even better! It comes with a solid range of features, but with support for PC, Mac, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch consoles, it works out to be excellent value as you only need the one headset for virtually all of your devices.

Sound Blaster Blaze V2

The Sound Blaster Blaze V2 looks smart enough with an all-black theme, complimented by plush premium velvet padding on the circumaural earcups and headband. This slim and light design means that the headset weighs just 187 grams, which is going to raise the level of comfort during those long gaming sessions.

Drivers

The headset is equipped with a set of precision-tuned 40mm FullSpectrum Neodymium drivers. Creative say they’ll “deliver impactful bass and crisp audio designed to create an exhilarating experience.” and I don’t doubt them. Creative are my favourite audio brand, and the Sound Blaster name has been around for decades and has never steered my wrong in the past.

Software

With the Creative app (on Windows), users get to access the Sound Blaster Studio Essential suite to enable sound processing technologies like virtualized 7.1 Surround Sound, Acoustic Engine (with features like Surround, Crystalizer, Smart Volume, Dialog Plus), built-in audio presets for various gaming profiles, movies and music, and CrystalVoice (with features like Acoustic Echo Cancellation, Smart Volume, Microphone Equalizer).

Microphone

Furthermore, the Sound Blaster Blaze V2 is equipped with a detachable, noise-cancelling microphone. It features a gold-plated 3.5 mm 4-pole combo jack that makes connections easy, with its high-purity oxygen-free copper wire cable helping to transmit distortion-free audio. An inline remote control provides instant access to volume adjustment and mic mute.

Pricing and Availability

Sound Blaster Blaze V2 is priced at $55 and is available at the Creative online store. For more information, visit the product page.

What Creative Had to Say

“Stay re-energized and focused in games with an all-new upgraded Sound Blaster Blaze V2! It works on any devices with an analog jack, from PC and Mac to major gaming consoles such as the PS5™, PS4™, XBox and Nintendo Switch™.

A noteworthy popular gaming headset geared towards powerful audio and ease of gameplay, the headset is capable of delivering explosive bass and immersive gaming audio with its built-in 40 mm precision-tuned FullSpectrum drivers. The headset also features a detachable noise-cancelling microphone that eliminates unwanted background noise and ensures crisp and clear in-game communications for a smoother voice chat experience.

At just 187g / 6.6 oz, keep ear fatigue at bay as the Sound Blaster Blaze V2 is lined with plush premium velvet paddings with a retractable cushioned headband that will sit comfortably on your head or around the neck, ensuring an ergonomic fit. Together with direct access to volume controls and mic mute controls via its inline remote, stay ahead in the game and truly immerse yourself with Sound Blaster Blaze V2.”
