Creative Omni and iRoar Go Speakers – Upgrade Your Alexa?

Flexibility to Fit Your Lifestyle

Because you can connect these speakers over Bluetooth, you can get far more creative with the placement of both the speaker and your Alexa device. I have four Echo Dots in my house and office. I have one mounted on the wall where it’s easy for its microphones to hear me while I’m cooking. The iRoar Go is perfect for the kitchen too, with a powerful speaker that’s really thumping, it sits up on the shelf with ease.

It is splash proof too, so while you can’t throw it in the shower, keeping it in the bathroom or on the kitchen worktop is no problem for it.

Having the flexibility to pick it up, put it where you want it, or even take it on the go, is a huge benefit. With about 8 hours of battery, you won’t be running the power cable too often either.

The Roar button toggles through the EQ modes, and when enabled, it provides a mighty amount of wow factor, plenty bass, and more than enough volume to entertain at your next party or BBQ. The built-in controls work over Bluetooth too. Of course, if you’re listening to Prime Music with Alexa, you can skip tracks, play, pause, etc., at the touch of a button, rather than barking “Alexa, skip this song”now and then.

Where and How You Want It

With dual orientation, you can have the speaker standing tall like this, or laid down for a flat look. It sounds great in either configuration, and really, it’s up to you which looks best.

Just make sure the left and right sides are not covered, as they’re your subwoofers and add some thump to the sound.

Going Multi-Room

So, the Omni has a lot of tricks, and with just the one speaker, it works very much like the iRoar Go. However, if you have a pair of them, you can connect them to WiFi and run them in stereo mode, or as multiroom speakers. However, that doesn’t seem to work with a Bluetooth or 3.5mm connection, only with a mobile device. Of course, you can run Alexa app, Prime Music, Spotify, Siri, Google Now and more this way. If you’re looking for all the thrills of Alexa without a Dot device, you can do it with Omni.

The speakers run in both a vertical tower position or horizontal. The vertical tower mode looks quite similar to the Echo from Amazon, but again, it’s much more portable. Being able to travel with it, put in the bathroom and more are huge advantages you don’t get with the Amazon products.

Just like the iRoar Go, they’re well equipped with controls too. So taking command of your music with just a tap is super easy.

Power!

The Omni are punchy speakers in their own right. However, two are (you guessed it) twice as loud! Just ignore that I’m watching Discovery channel while I work, just of working from home, ha! What’s great though is I can pick up either speaker, move it to another room, and it just keeps rocking.
