A Closer Look

The unit is nice and compact, but don’t be fooled, as it feels quite heavy to hold and it quickly becomes apparant that the build quality is second to none. There is extensive ventilation on the top, front, and both sides, giving plenty of room for the sound to be pushed through from the five built-in speakers.

There’s a gorgeous chrome trim around the edges, giving it a nice professional look.

The business end may be around the front, but there back of the unit isn’t exactly lacking in hardware either.

On the left side, you’ll find the mains power adaptor (included), but keep in mind the unit has a massive 6000mAh battery, good for ten hours usage, so if you’re on the go, you won’t need the plug. There’s a range of connectivity options here too, with AUX IN, Micro-USB (cable included), as well as Micro SD. A 5V 1A USB port will help you power your mobile device as well; handy if you want to keep it charged while streaming music to the Roar Pro.

On the other side, we’ve got some recording functions, handy if you’re using the (sold separately) microphone, master audio controls and repeat functions, EQ mode switch, TERA BASS (bass enhancer) and USB mode switch.

On the top, you’ll find an NFC pairing badge, as well as some LED indicators.

On the right, the master controls, as well as the “roar” button for giving your audio yet more amplification options.

The durable housing has some tough rubber grips on the base, so the unit isn’t going to slide around at all; unlikely anyway given its hefty weight.
