Users who require high density memory modules will be glad to hear that Crucial has a new option available. The company’s 128GB DDR4 LRDIMM (CT128G4ZFE426S) server memory series is ideal for Intel Xeon scalable processors with ECC support. It is currently their highest density server modules available using Micron chips. These are available at starting speeds of 2666MHz and has CL22 timing at 1.2V. LRDIMM stands for “load-reduced” DIMMs, and they eliminate channel ranking limitations associated with standard RDIMMs. This allows for more installed DIMMs per channel for greater memory density. Crucial LRDIMMs also transmit power in a more efficient manner to the CPU via the data path buffer.
Since these are for enterprise use, Crucial also backs the product with their Reliance Program. This is customer service which includes service call reimbursements, on-site spares, 24/7 technical support through a direct hotline and bulk-shipping options. This allows servers to run as smoothly as possible, with a peace of mind that all bottlenecks regarding overall productivity is eliminated.
“We’re committed to helping organisations of all sizes reduce costly server performance slowdowns by offering reliable, quality, and high-density server memory,” said Michael Moreland, Crucial worldwide product manager. “These new Crucial 128GB DDR4 LRDIMM modules will help IT Managers extend the life of their current infrastructure as well as optimise new server deployments with best-in-class quality of service in mind.”
