Crucial Adrenaline Solid State Cache Review
Chris Hadley / 12 years ago
Throughout the testing of an SSD, there are many aspects to consider including the hardware that is used in conjunction. If testing a SATA III based drive, we need to make sure that our motherboard conforms to the same standards so that no discrepancies can arise. We will point out that due to capacity restrictions of 2TB with the Adrenaline kit, although the drive used is a 3TB drive, we’ve allocated a 2TB partition for the Windows install and the purpose of testing this kit.
Test system:
- Asus Maximus IV Extreme-Z
- Intel Core i7 3770k
- Corsair Vengeance 1866MHz 16GB
- Gigabyte GTX 580 SOC
- Antec Kuhler 920
- Corsair HX1050W
- Crucial Adrenaline SSD Cache
- Seagate Barracuda 3TB
- 3 x AOC E2795VH
We would like to thank AOC, Asus, Corsair, Kingston and Lian Li for supplying us with our test system components.
Many different software applications are also used to gain the broadest spectrum of results, which allows for the fairest testing possible.
