Overclocking the memory kit was a trickier process than usual because I encountered some inconsistencies when benchmarking frequencies which seemed perfectly stable. As a result, additional testing was required to determine which speed could be deployed for 24/7 operation. Initially, I thought the voltage was the root cause and tried to remedy this by deploying a fairly hefty rating of 1.414v. Unfortunately, this didn’t help and intermittent lock-ups still occurred.
Thankfully, manually adjusting the VCCIO alongside a smaller BCLK fixed the aforementioned issues. As you can see, the final overclock reached a figure of 3339MHz with the timings 16-16-16-36. Please note, the timings were set to CAS17-18 to try and investigate the product’s maximum raw frequency, but this didn’t enhance the overclocking potential whatsoever.
