Final Thoughts
Price
Unfortunately, we couldn’t find stock of the A40 Ultimate in the UK, which is a bit of a shame. That’s not to say you shouldn’t check though, as these things do change day by day. We found the A40 and A80 for under £70 at eBuyer, so one would expect the A40 Ultimate to be around the same price. Going on performance, we think that anything under £90 seems like a good deal for this cooler.
Overview
Once again I’m blown away with the first series of Cryorig AIO coolers. We loved their A80 and already regard it as one of the best coolers on the market today, it offers excellent cooling for overclocking, quiet acoustics, great aesthetics and it’s a freaking steal at the current market price. Fortunately for Cryorig, and of course you, the A40 Ultimate isn’t exactly second best, offering all the things we loved about the A80.
The design of this cooler is really unique, with the hybrid fan design that offers up some extra airflow around your motherboard components. This can bring benefits to you hardware, such as improving their lifespan and helping keep your overclocks stable. Of course, the added benefit is that the hybrid fan looks pretty cool too, giving a nice visual boost to the interior of your system.
Build quality is robust, with a very nice quality radiator and pump design, high-quality fans, braided cables, and one of the best installation kits you’ll find. Overall, you couldn’t ask for a much better cooler at this price range and even some products that cost £100+ don’t offer anything extra.
If Cryorig can fix up the stock issue in the UK, we would recommend you buy it right now. We’re happy to award it our Editors Choice Award based on its flawless performance, but with the side note that it’s a hollow victory if no one can buy one. We’re happy to update this part of the review should Cryorig address this issue.
