CRYORIG H5 Universal CPU Cooler Review

Performance

CRYORIG have obviously spent a lot of time on the design of this product and have really shown they are looking out for the customer, but let’s see how it performs.

At stock with the processor under 100% load we see temps of 33 degrees. This is actually in the bottom half of our table but when we look at the coolers that are above it we can see a lot of AIO coolers and dual fan coolers. It isn’t a cooler that particularly wows at stock, but it is certainly acceptable.

When overclocked it stays pretty much where it is on our table, this time with a 48 degree delta temp at 100% load, again, it doesn’t particularly surprise us with an amazing performance, but it is perfectly acceptable. Your CPU won’t have any problems at all under these temperatures and for such a thin fan I think it is quite impressive.

When we get out our decibel reader, we can see that the cooler is very quiet and the 140mm fan doesn’t make much noise at all. The Hive Fin technology doesn’t create any extra noise when the air passes through it and we see that the cooler is in the top half of our graph.

Even when we have our CPU overclocked to 4.5ghz the cooler is still almost silent. A Db reading of only 42 is excellent. Ok it might mean we sacrifice some of the cooling performance, but for those who want a very pretty cooler as well as quiet this is certainly one to consider.
