The first thing you will notice when you get the Cryorig H7 Plus out of the box is that it is huge! Despite the size though, there are more than a few features that, at least on a design level, make this cooler very appealing aesthetically. Remember, this doesn’t have any RGB lighting effects so it is entirely reliant on physical presentation rather than flashy lights!
When separating one of the fans from the radiator you get a look at that fantastic honeycomb design of the radiator. Cryorig seems pretty intent that this will provide much better airflow and heat dissipation. Whether it does or not I support is more a question of science, well until we get to our test results. It does, if nothing else, look pretty nifty!
Despite this being a big cooler, the design is actually rather smart in that it’s big in every direction, but not huge. As you can see from the top down photograph, even with both the fans mounted, the design has it as, roughly speaking, an almost perfect square. This does (and does) allow for excellent RAM clearance.
With 2 x 120mm fans, this provides excellent coverage for the radiator. In addition, the nice little touches, as well as the Cryorig logo, look excellent.
A side profile of the cooler gives you a better idea as to the actual size. As above, it is big, but it’s not cumbersome and should fit into any system really well.
Overall, in terms of aesthetics, the Cryorig H7 Plus not only looks good, but it also looks like it’s been built to perform!
The contact plate for the cooler has a nice large clean presentation. You may notice the unusual brackets curving off to the side. This is part of the installation which we’ll get onto next!
