Cryorig H7 Plus High-Performance Air CPU Cooler Review

Installation
On the box Cryorig suggests that the H7 Plus should take only around 4 minutes to install. As much as I like this cooler, that’s a bit of a stretch. The mounting bracket design is very unusual. In terms of the components needed, in fairness, these are well presented and you shouldn’t have any difficulty finding the right parts for your chipset.
In terms of the installation, in a sentence, it’s weird! On the base of the cooler, you have 4 mounting points which sit like horseshoes. To attack the cooler you must screw into these from the underside of the motherboard. Yes, you attach the screws to the mounting plate, line it up and screw directly onto the CPU.
In fairness, it’s a design that should remove a lot of the hassle of fitting specific brackets to the cooler. Unfortunately, it’s one of those ‘easy’ jobs that would be significantly easier if you had 3 hands. While you’re screwing from the underside with one hand, you’re typically using the other to try and keep the cooler correctly lined up. It’s not impossible and in the right circumstances, it could be very quick. For me though, it was awkward at best.
The box might say 4 minutes, but I think most people would spend around 15 minutes making sure this was on correctly.
