Cryorig H7 Quad-Lumi RGB CPU Cooler Review

Performance

With stock clocks, the H7 scores really well on our i7-7700K. The idle temperatures are 27c, and it peaked at a perfectly reasonable 63c. While running our Unigine Superposition 1080p Extreme benchmark, to simulate a general day-to-day load on the CPU, it was just 37c. Overall, I’d be happy running this CPU cooler 24/7 with no concerns.

This is a smaller CPU, at least compared to the beastly Noctua NH-D15S, but it still scored some great figures for a single fan tower. Idle was nice and low, gaming was well within a comfortable limit and even the peak temperatures weren’t too shabby. Overall, it’s more than capable of cooling our CPU, even at 5 GHz, which is better than I expected.

The 120mm fan was very quiet in all tests, keeping a good pace with the whisper quiet Shadow Rock TF2. Noctua are quieter, but it’s a 120mm fan going against a more expensive 140mm fan, so that’s to be expected.

The noise levels crept up a little while overclocked. However, that’s to be expected with just 1 x 120mm fan installed. Overall, it’s still very quiet and unlikely to be a distraction.
