We’re big fans of CryZENx here at eTeknix. As a modder, he’s certainly talented and has recreated many famous games of years gone by in modern game engines. Most of those demos can even be downloaded and played, which is one of the main reasons we’re so interested in them.
Want to see some of his previous work? How about Super Mario Sunshine, Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and more!
CryZENx actually released the video of the Chao Garden about a year or so ago. It was pretty popular, but I’ve never had the chance to compare it to the original game, until now.
The latest video shows off a side by side comparison of the original and the new version. I am a big fan of the work, but I must admit that the new one lacks a lot of the colour that made the original look and feels like a Sonic game. Not saying it looks bad though, as the increase in detail and resolution are amazing. With the new video (the 2nd video down below), perhaps he’s ready to do more work on his Mario projects? We will have to wait and see!
Want to download the demo and have a run around yourself? I’m sure you do! Hit up this link and grab the file.
