CryZENx the person behind the upcoming fan remake of Ocarina of Time that he has been building in Unreal Engine 5 for about the past 7 years has just released a new demo for to celebrate Ocarinas of times’ 25-year anniversary. The demo shows off the new cool makeover of the Lost Woods and some new extra gameplay that has been added and I have to say it looks amazing.
Now I’m quite ashamed to admit it but I haven’t actually played Zelda Ocarina of Time or any of the other Zelda games for that matter excluding BOTW. So having not played the original I don’t quite have the same feeling of nostalgia that I’m sure many of you will be feeling seeing this. However, that doesn’t mean I’m not extremely exited to play this and experience something that I missed out on. Maybe it will give me the chance to put my RTX 4090 to the test, which brings me on to my next bit of good news.
In the the video that CryZENx released he also announced that the game will have support for DLSS 3 Super Resolution and DLSS 3 Frame Generation meaning owners of RTX cards will be able to drastically improve their performance. I’m sure that this will make a huge difference for the people who remember the game on the Nintendo 64, which I believe ran at 15-20 FPS.
You can play this demo for free by going to CryZENx discord server here and if you want to really show your support for this remake you can go here to his Patreon.
