Anyone who has played a Zelda game knows how dangerous a chicken can be. Well thanks to the modding community in CS-GO, chickens are a whole lot more dangerous now as they fight each other, mercilessly, for your amusement.
The mod is called Chikken and yes, it is true. In an apparent parody of the Tekken fighting series (although dissimilar enough to avoid any legal fuss), the mod has allowed 2 chickens to fight each other in beat-em-up style.
The mod, reported by PCGamesN, can see super powered chickens duking it out and even employing the use of special powers such as eye lasers. You even get replays of the final blow in typical style.
While the quality of the mod isn’t phenomenal (the chickens operate on a heavy rag doll physics) it did make me laugh.
The mod is available to download for free from the CS-GO steam web page. If you visit it and search the mods you should see it fairly high up on the popularity. If you already have CS-Go and want a free bit of fun, you can’t go wrong here.
I am a massive fan of first person shooters but have always avoided CS-GO due to its rather toxic fan base. Yes, I know, most online games have some toxic areas of fans. I play more than enough to know that!. Half the internet has slept with my mother it seems. However, CS-GO players seem to take the game a little too seriously for my liking. We reported little over a year ago how legal action was taken against the games creator Valve due to illegal gambling. I’m not throwing all the fans into the pot with that rather sweeping statement, but I doubt many will disagree.
It’s therefore great to see what is frankly, a stupid mod. It’s mods like this that might convince me to go back to CS-GO. Ironically, however, not to play the actual game.
I am left wondering though… could they maybe create a fatality where Colonel Sanders turns up?
