CS:GO Cheaters Now Banned by Their Linked Phone Numbers

When it comes to cheating, there is always someone willing to push their luck hoping they won’t get caught. Valve is looking to help narrow down the number of ways you can cheat by banning people not just on their emails but also their phone numbers.
The advantage of two-factor authentication, other than the enhanced security it gives your account, most people will often only have one phone number, in contrast to the multiple Counter Strike: Global Offensive accounts they may own. This means that if you banned the phone number, you could ban multiple accounts for someone. With people’s accounts being banned by their phone numbers and email addresses, hackers and cheaters should be kept off the system unless they want to grab another phone number every time they get caught.
With the inability to use VoIP numbers, people will have to either get a list of phone numbers just for their CS:GO accounts or grab cheap pay as you go phones, one for each time you get caught online.
Have you ever had your account banned for an unfair reason? Do you think that this will help stop hackers or prevent them from coming back after getting caught?
