The exterior of the chassis comes finished in a super cool looking black coloured brushed aluminium, giving a very premium quality look to the overall design of the chassis. The left side panel which you can see here is of a single flat piece construction, directly screwed onto the chassis with the use of four tiny screws, which if you look closely you can see in each of the four corners of the panel.
The top and bottom edge of the front panel are curved, which is another little design detail that adds to the allure of the Mini Cube. Add to that lack of an optical drive that keeps the front panel unbroken with the exception of the basic reset and power controllers and a pair of LED power and HDD lights.
While it’s not the best equipped front panel ever it does host all the major ports that you would needs, with 2 x USB 2.0, 2 x USB 3.0, headset and microphone jacks, providing you with the essentials.
The right side of the chassis features the same panel as the left and is again held in place with four small corner screws.
Around the back of the chassis we get our first look at the pure aluminium finish that is hiding behind the black paint work, we have our motherboard I/O cut-out, an 80/90mm exhaust fan mount (fan not included), a pair of expansion slot covers which can be easily accessed thanks to their quick release thumb screws and finally a bottom mounted PSU cut-out.
The underside of the chassis is fitted with four high quality rubber coated feet that should help prevent the chassis sliding around on hard surfaces and reduce some of the vibration from your components. You can also see cut-outs for mounting either a 120mm fan or a HDD in the base of the chassis.
