Have you been waiting for the sales to get an upgrade to your PC? Well, now might be the time to strike as cyber-Monday is upon us and included are some major discounts on items including graphics cards.
We pick through the highlights to give you some great deals.
Being the workhorse of gaming PC’s a good graphics card can go a long way. Here are some of the best deals we’ve found.
POWERCOLOR AMD 580
AMD proved that there is bang for the buck in their 4XX and 5XX series. While Vega may not have been the Titan killer we hoped, the AMD 580 represents one of the best budget cards currently on the market.
You can check out our review of this card here.
Overclockers currently have the AMD 580 on sale for – £240.00
ZOTAC 1060 MINI – 6GB
A decent competitive card with the AMD 580, this Zotac card packs power in a tiny package.
While not as visually impressive as some, for a mini card, this is excellent value.
You can check out some more details here.
The Zotac 1060 is available on Amazon for – £253
ZOTAC 1080ti – 11gb
Ok, so from one end of the scale to another admittedly, but a big discount might have just pushed one of the best graphics cards around into your price range.
This is another card we have checked out if you want some more details.
Available via Amazon for just – £623.59 – While still pricey, this is a big discount.
While there are a number of deals at the moment, there is only one which really stands out as an excellent option on a low budget.
RYZEN 5 1600X
The Ryzen 5 1600x may very well represent the processor of the year for both price and performance. Its only competitor is perhaps the 1700x, but retailing quite notably higher, the 1600x really does have it all. Excellent value, great performance and brilliant overclocking potential.
You can check out our full review of this processor here.
This is available at Overclockers for just £189.00
Finding a bargain for a hard-drive can be quite tricky and this Cyber-Monday is no exception. There is, however, one great stand-out upgrade option.
SAMSUNG 850 EVO 256GB SSD
Samsung makes a quality solid state drive and for most PC owners these days, upgrading to an SSD can be one of the best inexpensive upgrades available. For those who do not have an SSD, the difference in performance is fantastic. I would compare it to going from dial-up to broadband.
While we have not reviewed this specific model, there are higher capacity models in the same range you can check out.
The Samsung 850 Evo 256GB SSD is available via Amazon for £80.00
While the Oculus sale has seen sales roar, we close off our cyber-Monday review by looking at an HTC bundle that just might tempt you.
HTC VIVE + DELUXE STRAP + FALLOUT 4 VR + DOOM VFR
While Oculus’ price might make it the more achievable entry-level VR system, the quality of Vive is undeniable.
While expensive, when considering everything else that is thrown in with this deal, it might be the VR bundle of choice.
This HTC Vive bundle is available at Game for – £599.00
While this Black-Friday/Cyber-Monday might have been a let down to some, there are bargains out there if you in the market for an update.
