CrystalDiskMark – Sequential Read
The Samsung SM951 NVMe boot SSD is a revolutionary product which redefines the kind of speeds possible on consumer storage devices. This makes it a popular choice for high-end builds and dominates the entire field. On this occasion, the system’s NVMe boot SSD performed superbly and exceeded a read speed of 2200MB/s. Also, the mechanical hard disk offered a good read rate while the USB 3.0 performance remained very competitive.
CrystalDiskMark – Sequential Write
In terms of write speeds, the system’s NVMe drive is wonderful and within touching distance of going beyond 1300MB/s. This is an absolutely staggering result and provides an insight into the huge benefits of NVMe storage devices. On another note, the Cyberpower Hyper Liquid 100’s secondary drive manages to record decent write speeds. Unfortunately, the USB 3.0 write result was very disappointing and fell well below par. To clarify this, I reformatted the drive and attempted to benchmark the device again. This didn’t make a substantial difference, though.
