Since it’s rough launch CyberPunk has had various patches to bring the game up to scratch and into a solid gaming experience that isn’t quite where we were expecting but is good nonetheless. Soon though we will be seeing the big update 2.0 which will introduce even more major fixes and changes to make the game better with its release date being revealed today.
CyberPunk Update 2.0
Shared today is the release date for CyberPunk 2077 Update 2.0 which will be released on the 21st of September just 5 days before the release of the Phantom Liberty DLC. This update will bring in a vast array of improvements including:
- Redesigned skill trees and perks
- Revamped cyberware and new capacity system
- Vehicle combat and car chases
- Combat AI improvements
- New police system
- UI and UX improvements
- Loot, Items, and crafting changes
- New radio stations
All of this is good news especially the police system as most people probably forgot that the police existed in Night City with how pathetic they are. Something that isn’t mentioned here is that according to Filip Pierciski, CDPR’s lead scene programmer, this update could bring up to 90% utilisation for 8-core CPUs meaning that some users may need to check their cooling system is up for the task, some of these newer processors can get pretty hot.
