Drones, we all want one. We might never actually use it for the intended use, but just to have it sat there for that one-time event where you need to go on a spy mission or look for that frisbee that landed on the roof; it just makes sense.
In recent years, the private drone sector has boomed and with it, companies are coming out of the woodwork to join in the fun and games; in this case it is CyPhy joining the fun. CyPhy is a small commercial drone company that builds very small amounts of drones. They have now set up a Kickstater fund page to get backing and start-up money from anyone interested in their new drone tech.
The CyPhy LVL 1 is a unique drone that has slightly inverted blades which enable silky smooth flight and incredible control, but don’t take my word for it; watch the video.
Some of the key features I love about the concept of this drone if the smartphone control interface and Geo-Fencing. Smartphone control is self-explanatory, but the Geo-Fencing I like the sound of; I could set the boundaries and let my daughter go nuts with the knowledge that she isn’t going to hit a tree or a house.
I love the sound of this drone and will be keeping an eye on it, under $500 is seriously tempting. Are you a drone fan? Do you own a drone? Let us know in the comments.
