D-Link announced their latest addition of Wi-Fi camera’s called the DCS-2530L which is a smaller version of the previously reelased DCS-2630L that we reviewed here at eTeknix a while ago. The DCS-2530L is a Full HD 180-degree Wi-Fi camera which is perfect to monitor your home, kids, or pets.
Where most camera’s on the market only provide up to a 130-degree field of view, D-Link goes all the way with their 180-degree view – and best of all, without any fisheye usage or warping thanks to D-Link’s unique de-warping technology. This allows you to monitor an entire room from a single location which saves both initial costs as as well as total cost of ownership when you take power consumption and other infrastructure into consideration.
The Wi-Fi camera comes with a built-in microSD card slot which provides more flexibility over just network recording features. This can safe bandwidth and also simply provides the user with more options. Users can choose different options for recording based on event trigger, schedule or continuous recording for more control on what or when to record. In addition, recorded clips and live video streaming can be easily accessed and managed from anywhere using the free mydlink lite app for iOS, Android and Windows, all with no recurring monthly fees.
