My normal testing procedures for network equipment failed with this 10 Gbps equipment and as it seems, the software simply isn’t compatible with connections that fast and I only got about a quarter of the speed I should be getting. So I had to improvise and come up with something new.
The small and useful tool Iperf came to mind as it is the most basic way to test network throughput where you have plenty of options to define the setup too. So for this test I’ll be using Iperf3 on both systems.
