Damage Inc – Pacific Squadron WWII Special Edition Xbox 360 Review

Out of the box we can see the controller comes in separate pieces, the biggest of these is the base unit, which comes finished in a really nice blue, with some great looking decals attached to it. It also features the screw lock mount for the flight stick, meaning you can quickly detach the stick to help with storage of the unit, should you need to of course.
Along the front of the base we can see that it comes with all the usual controls, with LB, LS, RS and RB all catered with 2 way up/down switches, a multi directional thumb stick in the center and finally the back, home and start buttons above that. All of which have a good quality feel to them, plus the switch style looks fantastic.
Flipping the base over we can see there are 4 mounting points for the leg rests, you can of course mount the unit flat on your desk or table thanks to the rubber grip feet, but the arched leg rests (fitted in this picture) hold the stick over the curve of your leg, so you can keep things stable while sitting on the couch.
With the stick mounted, the whole setup looks fantastic, the first and most prominent thing I noticed though is how light the unit is, I’m not sure if this is a good or bad thing though, the unit feels well made and reasonably robust, but at the same time feels hollow and lacks the weight in the base that would provide extra balance.
The stick itself is made of molded plastics and features the X, B and Y buttons on the back, as well as an analogue thumb stick, with the A button being used as the trigger on the front.
