Dan Houser, Rockstar Games Co-Founder Announces Absurd Ventures

Dan Houser the co-founder of Rockstar Games and fairly highly praised for the GTA series and Red Dead Redemption but has since left Rockstar Games and now is forming another company by the name of Absurd Ventures.

Absurd Ventures has been founded by Dan Houser with the goal of building narrative worlds, creating characters and writing stories for a diverse variety of genres. The company will be making these worlds for live-action and animation, video games and other interactive content including books, graphics novels and scripted podcasts.

Within the GTA community, there are a few who have less confidence in GTA 6 without Houser at the helm which is understandable considering the impact the series has had on gaming and the work that he had put into the series alongside others. At the very least Houser is still writing and it’ll be interesting to see what projects Absurd Ventures works on. Looking at the website absurdventures.com, there are a few cryptic images and a video which starts off with the question “is it ok to dream again?” followed by a variety of surreal clips. I don’t know what to expect but fans are happy to see Dan Houser back.
