Dark Souls is a hard gaming series. This is slowly becoming a very tired gaming cliche. Whenever people talk about hard games it’s Battletoads on the NES and Dark Souls. Yes, Dark Souls is hard, but at the same time, it’s not unforgiving. Well, not often.
Some people simply do not like hard games. The recently released Cuphead is proof of that. Similar to Dark Souls, Cuphead is difficult, but not impossible.
Completing one, or all of the Dark Souls games is therefore certainly an achievement, but then, you shouldn’t think you’ve achieved the impossible either.
Why am I starting by making this point? Because although completing Dark Souls isn’t impossible, the things that some people achieve in it sounds impossible!
Dark Souls 3, despite being released over 18 months ago is still turning heads. In this instance, however, I did a practical double take as a gamer has managed to complete Dark Souls 3, including all the DLC, with a level one character and without taking a single hit. That takes commitment!
Twitch and YouTube gamer SquillaKilla has seemingly achieved the impossible. Having started the game with a level one character, they have completed the entire game, all bosses and all DLC by taking no damage.
For those unfamiliar with the series, most die within the first 5 minutes. Dying is, in fact, an achievement within the game. Dying is very much part of Dark Souls. Therefore for someone to get through the entire game without even taking damage is obscenely impressive!
SquillaKilla’s achievement can be seen below. It is highly impressive and well worth a watch just to see how hard it is. For the more casual fan, you always have the Epic Sax Man mod.
SquillaKilla, as a massive fan of Dark Souls and one who has died thousands of times, I salute you!
