Dead by Daylight is an excellent game. Pitting 4 survivors against a vicious killer, can you survive and escape the night? Alternatively, as the killer, the Entity will be displeased if you allow too many to escape your clutches. Combining fun mechanics, with easy to access gameplay and a truly tense experience Dead by Daylight has been one of the better games I’ve played in recent years.
Last Halloween, the developers surprised everyone by adding Halloween killer Michael Myer’s an official licensed and playable killer. This was likely in response to the announcement that an official Friday the 13th game was coming. Well, they have done it again this year. In the last few days, Dead by Daylight has released the latest expansion confirming Texas Chainsaw Massacre killer, Leatherface, to the roster.
Some might ask why they didn’t wait until Halloween to do this, and there is a very good reason. Click here to find out why.
Well, the elephant in the room here is that Dead by Daylight had already, kinda, ripped off Leatherface with their own chainsaw-wielding killer. That being said, Leatherface is very different. While Leatherface does also have a one-hit-drop, he does not have the ability to charge across a map. If you remember the film, Leatherface was a little bit tubby.
Don’t be thinking he’s a pushover though. Leatherface does have a pretty vicious not-so-secret weapon.
That chainsaw? When revved up and running Leatherface can swing it about like a loony. Therefore, dodging this guys swings is difficult and borderline practically impossible.
While some do argue that Michael Myer’s is overpowered, I think Leatherface is actually reasonably balanced.
Dead By Daylight is available to buy on console and PC.
The PC steam page can be viewed here and good news! It’s currently on sale for just £7.49! – Even if you do not buy the expansions, this is a game you will be dying to play.
