Beginning Friday December 16 all the way through Sunday December 18 Pacific Standard Time, Dead by Daylight will be free to play on Steam allowing users to try out the asymmetrical multiplayer zombie shooter. Unlike most survival horror games, Dead by Daylight allows up to four players to team up against a single player playing the role of the horror killer. To keep the game interesting, the map layout of each level is procedurally generated. This elevates the tension significantly and keeps the players guessing.
For would-be villains, Death by Daylight allows them to inhabit a variety of horror-movie tropes including powerful slasher to paranormal beings with their own sets of abilities. Both killer and players level up independently and have their own set of progression stats to fulfill.
It currently has over 51,000 reviews on Steam under ‘mostly positive’, over 12,000 of which are ‘very positive’. The game is also currently on sale in Steam with 30% of the price for both the regular and deluxe editions. Sale ends December 19th.
