Dead Island 2 is the long awaited sequel to Dead Island, unfortunately it was an Epic Games Exclusive and wasn’t that amazing with many of the reviews marking the gameplay as a bit of a slog. When a game releases as an Epic exclusive, chances are a huge number of people will avoid it solely for that reason so a year later, the game is finally coming to Steam.
The Steam Page for Dead Island 2 has been listed and comes alongside a planned release date of April 22nd 2024, a year after its original release. It does make me wonder how many potential sales have been lost from the Epic exclusive contract, though I imagine Epic were paying them enough not to care.
On top of this reveal, Dead Island: Riptide Definitive Edition is currently free to keep so long as you grab it before February 15th at 4PM. Dead Island Definitive edition is also on sale for £2.66 so now’s a great time to grab them if you haven’t.
Dead Island 2 is thrilling First-Person Action RPG with a unique formula of horror, dark humor and over the top zombie-slaying. Explore an iconic, gore-drenched Los Angeles flooded with zombie infection. Meet larger-than-life characters and armed with tons of weapons, mods and skills, slay countless foes in exquisitely bloody detail.
