Those of you who were looking forward to the release of Dead Island 2 might be disappointed as the game has been officially pushed back to 2016. The upcoming action role-playing survival horror game was originally expected to be released this spring, but it looks like the project is not even complete yet despite the development team’s hard work. The German company that’s in charge of development, YAGER, still has some work to do before the game can be considered a whole, which means that the new release date is likely to be somewhere in spring 2016.
“We have always set ourselves a big goal for Dead Island 2: to create the sequel that takes Dead Island to the next level. A game that takes what our fans tell us they love about Dead Island – multiple different characters to play with, co-op, and turning a paradise setting into a zombie slaughter melee – and a game that adds a ton more content and combat options on top of that.”
It’s no big secret that numerous game developers are having difficulties in respecting deadlines. Still, if it guarantees a polished, glitch-free and entertaining game, then the wait is usually well worth it.
