Dead Space Remake’s System Requirements Are Almost As Scary As the Game!

Last Summer EA confirmed the upcoming release of a remake of the original Dead Space. While this was certainly a highly-anticipated launch, however, so far updates on the title have since been more than a little lacking. It doesn’t even yet have anything even mildly indicative of a release date suggesting that, at least at the time of writing, a 2022 release may not happen.

Following an official update on Steam, however, perhaps Dead Space is set for release this year as partial and (likely) provision system requirements are now listed. Albeit, when you take a look at the CPU requirements, you might find them only slightly less terrifying than the original title!

Dead Space Remake – System Requirements

As noted above, these are just provisional specifications with nothing yet being mentioned about the graphics card requirements/recommendations. Based on the processor requirements, however, this certainly seems to need a pretty potent solution and particularly so at the recommended settings. No, admittedly, a Ryzen 5600X or Intel i5-11600K isn’t at the bleeding edge of technology. At the same time though, they’re both still exceptionally good CPUs and notably higher than what many might’ve been anticipating!

What Do We Think?

If the processor requirements are this high, then perhaps it’s just as well that we’ve only been drip-fed this news as it only seems to indicate that the recommended graphics card is also likely going to be a pretty potent suggestion. I mean, is something like a 3060 Ti out of the question here?…

Overall, I think I speak for most people when I say that when Dead Space is finally released, let’s hope these provisional specs come down a little!

You can, incidentally, check out the official Steam store website for Dead Space via the link here!
