Deep Cool Gammax GT RGB CPU Cooler Review

A Closer Look
As can often be seen with the Gammax line, an emphasis has been placed on the RBG lighting effects. It’s not unfair to suggest that many products these days choose to apply lighting and the results are often hit and miss. That being said though, the Deep Cool Gammax GT does not make it a massive point. The cooler and fan still look like an exceptionally good product.
The CPU block is as expected with 4 large copper pipes leading to the cooler itself. The gap between the vents should allow for excellent airflow while not detracting from the lighting effects. The large CPU contact plate, combined with the 8 (4 on each side) pipes does not exactly speak of innovative design. This is, after all, about the standard you would expect from a mid-range air cooler.
The fan appears to be a quality design, but you might feel a little intimidated by all the connectors. This really is a cooler designed to work at its visual best in conjunction with the RGB lighting effects. If your motherboard is compatible, you are able to use onboard controls rather than the manual adaptor. I can’t but feel though that the manual adaptor would be tricky to effectively hide (in terms of cable management) while making it reasonably accessible.
The effects it gives are nice and unusually not too obtrusive. Therefore, any who are not so fussed about RGB lighting need to worry and, of course, you can also always set it a solid colour.
