DeepCool AK400 WH Performance CPU Cooler Review

Exterior Packaging
The packaging for the DeepCool AK400 WH is a little bit basic with it predominantly just being a white box with one image on the front and some technical specifications on the rear (oh, and please ignore the dent our sample received in transit. Fortunately the internal foam insured our cooler was still perfectly fine).
It is, quite honestly, perhaps a little too basic for its own good. Yes, the DeepCool AK400 WH is an entry-level cooling solution, but they could’ve perhaps pushed the boat out a little term in terms of presentation to actually make this appealing. – Just for an example of this, while the packaging is white, it’s not really glossy to make anything on it particularly punch. As per the images, it just comes across as muted.
Accessories!
Perhaps surprisingly, there aren’t really that many accessories to go through here. There is no thermal compound with the DeepCool AK400 WH instead coming with it pre-applied (more on this later), and, in truth, the only thing mildly warranting comment is that you do at least get a ‘spare’ set of clips should you choose, at a later date, to fit another fan to the radiator.
All going well though, the relatively small number of components do make me hopeful that the installation process should be, all going well, pretty straightforward.
