DeepCool AK500 Air CPU Cooler Review

Performance
There is no other way to say this, the DeepCool AK500 performance incredibly impressively in our testing. – Starting with temperatures, the results provided at stock level are among the lowest we’ve ever encountered. Put simply, this was either the greatest thermal paste application I’ve ever done, or the DeepCool AK500 is an excellent high-performance solution.
Admittingly, it does tend to blend in a little when overclocking is applied. For an air cooler, however, this is exactly as expected. We shouldn’t fail to mention though that in terms of comparisons, the DeepCool AK500 is still easily managing to hold its own against many high-performance 240mm and 360mm AIO liquid coolers in our performance charts here.
So, with great levels of CPU temperature control, is acoustic performance the DeepCool AK500’s Achilles heel? Well, the short answer is no. It is, in fact, one of the quietest CPU coolers we have ever tested. – Now, admittedly, with just one fan it’s not surprising that it isn’t overly loud and especially so when compared to AIOs that may have 2 or 3 of them. Bare in mind though that even when overclocked, the DeepCool AK500 still maintained an exceptionally low level of noise output.
Any way you look at it, the results here are exceptionally impressive and well beyond even my own expectations prior to testing!
