I think it would be fair to say that, over the last couple of years, DeepCool has been making efforts to get any from the association that they are ‘just’ a budget-focused brand. In fact, the release of their truly excellent Assassin III back in 2019 was perhaps the first indication that such a transition was underway. With the recent release of their new AK620 CPU cooler, however, have things taken a step forward in terms of performance? Well, that’s what we’re here to find out!
The DeepCool AK620 definitely seems to represent itself as a high-performance air cooling solution. With its twin-fan and dual-stack radiator design, this does seem to be the approach that many manufacturers are taking to get the best out of air CPU coolers without having to resort to monumentally huge designs. With this particular model, however, some clearly clever choices have been made to not only make this an exceptionally component cooler but also one that, dare I say, actually looks quite attractive.
It has even managed to avoid the pitfalls of ARGB which, like it or not, do appear to be the standard means of *cough* ‘improving’ aesthetics these days.
“Achieve dominant cooling and silent efficiency with the DeepCool AK620 High Performance CPU Cooler equipped with six copper heat pipes stacked with a dense dual-tower fin array and two 120 FDB fans.
The AK620 features a precision-machined convex copper base and six copper heat pipes that deliver improved heat transfer capabilities. The dense matrix fin array in a dual tower heat sink layout offers better efficiency for high performance systems.”
