A Closer Look

Without a doubt, DeepCool has made a great-looking cooler, and blacking out all the silver certainly gives it a new speaker look for 2023 and beyond. The fan is pretty much the same, but it features the modern DeepCool logo and colours, so just looks a little bit cooler as a result.

The top panel is quite glossy, which does look good, but I fear it could turn into a bit of a dust and fingerprint magnet if you’re not careful with it.

The coldplate looks excellent, it’s a copper block with a nickel-plated polished head, and nice and large too, so coverage of larger CPUs should be excellent, and all six heatpipes cover the full width too.

The heat pipes are U-shaped, running equally through both cooling towers of the cooler, and the primary mounting kit is also built-in, so there’s less tinkering needed to install it.

The fans are pre-installed and come with their own fan splitter on the cable so only one header is needed. There’s also a USB data cable to connect to your motherboard for the digital display.

The back of the cooler looks great and has a square offset design that will help churn the air up a little bit, pulling more heat and diffusing the air through the back of the cooler. There’s a small cut-away too, ensuring better RAM and VRM compatibility.

The top plate is magnetically fitted, so just give it a firm pull to remove it.

You can then slide the middle fan out vertically, and this will allow you to use the included screwdriver to reach down to the mounting screws.

The outside fan is mounted using a set of black spring clips, so it’s easy to remove, clean and reinstall.

The fans are the latest FK120 fans from DeepCool and feature all-black fittings, black cables, and black anti-vibration mounts on both sides too.
