DeepCool AK620 WH High-Performance Air CPU Cooler Review

How Much Does it Cost?
The DeepCool AK620 WH is available to purchase now with consumers looking at a price in the region of £59.99. So in terms of cost, this is significantly less expensive than a lot of its ‘high-performance’ competition in the air cooling market and by a quite substantial margin too. – In many respects though, the attraction for the DeepCool AK620 WH doesn’t merely lie in the fact that it costs less than its competition, but more so that it offers an aesthetic that, off the top of my head, it’s more expensive alternatives don’t even come close to matching!
Overview
As we noted at the start of this review, it feels like DeepCool has designed the AK620 WH in an attempt to offer features and performance to please everyone. A design ethos that, in many instances, often results in a product that doesn’t really please anyone. Somehow though, DeepCool has done it here! – The AK620 WH not only looks fantastic, but it offers performance that more than matches.
The built quality is unquestionable with it feeling like DeepCool has cut no corners here. I don’t think the AK620 WH is technically being marketed as a flagship product, but quite frankly, I have no idea why not!
Should I Buy One?
Air coolers will never be as sexy or generally appealing as AIO alternatives. With the DeepCool AK620 WH, however, this is definitely a product that should even give the most ardent air-cooling cynics something to think about! – It looks good and performs every bit as well to match! Not just that, but there are literally no Achilles heels to be found here with it also being a relative doddle to install.
At this point, it feels like highlighting the incredibly limited and relatively minor issues I personally had with it is only nitpicking possibly for the sake of me just wanting to not sound like I’m waxing lyrical. For the performance and aesthetics offered at this surprisingly low price point though, the only reason to spend more on something else would be if your top and sole priority is outright performance.
The DeepCool AK620 WH is an attempt to please everyone and disprove the theory that air coolers can’t possibly be both good and attractive. And in my opinion, this is one of the best pieces of evidence the metaphorical defence has provided to date!
Pros
- Nice and bright aesthetics – No reliance on ARGB/RGB needed here!
- The build quality is beyond question. Everything just smacks of quality, thought, and care!
- Strong performance both in CPU temperature control and acoustics
- Easy to install
- Exceptionally well priced. Notably less expensive than its competition while performing very near as well in the vast majority of instances (while looking substantially better too!)
Cons
- None
Neutral
- Lacks the ‘ultra-high’ performance of its more expensive competition
