At the time of writing, we do not yet have a confirmed UK price for the DeepCool Gamer Storm DQ850-M power supply. Despite that, from the information we have, we’d expect a price in the range of £90-£100. We base this off the product itself and DeepCool’s usual pricing methods.
Based on this price, you are clearly getting an excellent power supply here. Not only in terms of looks and performance but also remember that this comes with a pretty sweet 5-year guarantee!
It’s hard to make a power supply look good. Despite that, DeepCool has definitely managed it here. The branding and styling choices to this power supply are subtle, but make such a massive difference in terms of presentation. This PSU really stands out from the crowd and that’s definitely a good thing when the competition is so high.
In addition, with the decent internal build and fully-Japanese capacitors, this ticks all the right boxes!
The testing speaks for itself. In terms of an 850 watt, gold-rated power supply, this performs excellently in every area you would want it to. In truth, there was nothing throughout the testing that raised any concerns and the efficiency ratings are actually a little higher than the gold-efficiency ratings require.
In terms of the business end of a power supply, the Gamer Storm DQ850-M is spot-on!
You will not be hard pushed to find many power supplies of similar specifications for this price. The market is a little oversaturated and that’s certainly a good thing for consumers. So why should you choose the Gamer Storm DQ850-M?
Well, in terms of looks and testing, this power supply nails it. It does fantastically well in every category and as above, despite power supplies usually not being the most attractive of components, this actually genuinely looks great!
We’ve felt that sometimes DeepCool has a undeserved reputation for being cheap (and by proxy bad). If you think that, then power supplies like this should start to change your mind!
It’s the little things like that that make this stand-out from the crowd. Put simply, it’s great to look at and in terms of performance is faultless. What more could you want from a power supply?
