The first step to installing the 240 EX, add the fans to the radiator. They certainly look great mounted on there, but I must admit that they were not easy to install. The screw holes felt a little too tight, like perhaps too much paint had gotten into them and quite a bit of force was required to get them tightened up, and it certainly felt excessive. Either way, they’re all on and it’s all working.
The universal backplate is simple enough to use, just put it on the back of the motherboard, slot the four long screws through the motherboard and flip it over.
Four thumbscrews go over the bolts, holding everything neatly in place.
Then it’s simply a case of sliding the two support bars over the screws and screwing down the pump onto them. It’s an easy process and one of the easier pump mounting systems we’ve come across.
Then you simply hook everything up to the handy fan hub, and you’re good to go.
