Deepcool GamerStorm Captain 240 EX Review

Performance
The 240 EX is doing a pretty decent job at stock clocks, although that’s not exactly hard for any cooler to do. Clocking in at +28c under load is perfectly fine and you’ll be very comfortable if you’re not overclocking.
Dialing up the heat, performance is far better than we expected, with load temperatures of just +35c, putting it in the same ballpark as many of the best air and AIO coolers on the market today.
Acoustic performance was pretty average, but that’s not really a bad thing. With the fans sticking to 40dBa at idle and load, it’s unlikely that you’ll hear it once it’s installed in your chassis.
It got a little noisier when overclocked, but even then, 41-43dBa is hardly unacceptable. We saw some really impressive cooling performance, so you could easily dial down the RPM of the fans a little to keep it quieter, without sacrificing much performance.
