The Castle 360RGB carries a mounting system that anyone familiar with DeepCool AIO products will instantly recognize. So, the good news is that there’s nothing new or usual here to throw us off. That doesn’t mean to say, however, that it’s all entirely plain sailing.
The mounting system for this AIO cooler is fairly straight forward, albeit there are certain aspects that get a little fiddly. For example, to attach the mounting clip to the pump head requires you to attach 4 screws which (based on the overall clumsy feel of handling an AIO) is delicate work. Worse, DeepCool doesn’t provide you with any spare parts so if you drop a screw, you’re going to NEED to find it!
From out of the box and onto our system, the DeepCool GamerStorm Castle 360RGB V2 took us around 20 minutes to fit. This is a pretty decent amount of time. There are, however, factors that need taking into consideration. For example, this is a 360mm design which, by proxy, is usually a little trickier to handle. In addition, with 3 fans, there are clearly more screws and cables needing connecting.
Was it hard to install though? The short answer is no. The long answer is, not really, but there are certain parts of it that require some pretty nimble fingers!
