Deepcool has been showing off their MF120 aluminium frameless fans since Computex last year and at CES 2018. Now it is finally almost here, arriving soon in April. Unlike other fans, the MF120 is a premium product and is available as a set of three. It includes not only the frameless fans, but a Wi-Fi compatible controller as well. This is what separates the Deepcool MF120 from other RGB fans (other than the frameless aspect).
It fits standard 120mm mounts, but the metal mounts and supporting hub are sturdier than typical plastic. Plus, Deepcool has dampened each mounting hole with padding to absorb vibrations. Which in turn minimizes vibration noise when installed.
The actual fan blades have a two-layer blower blade design for efficiency and unrestricted airflow. This fluid dynamic bearing operates in PWM mode from 500 rpm to 2200 rpm.
With the built-in controller, users can control and adjust the fan using either an Android or Apple smartphone or tablet. This includes 36 lighting modes with five built-in lighting effects including dynamic, static, breathing, comet and fashion collision.
Each set has an MSRP of $109.99 and will be available by April 2018.
