Companies like releasing products at the same time, often with the same kind of things. With everything from games consoles to laptops, they become ‘generations’ groups of products that are released alongside one another in the hope that each company with benefit where the other lacks something. The most recent addition to this is courtesy of some leaked slides from Dell showing off what their new XPS 12 will be featuring.
The XPS 12 is set to be a 12-inch hybrid tablet with a docking keyboard. The main attraction of which seems to be a 4K ‘Infinity’ edge to edge touchscreen display. With a resolution of 3840 by 2160, the device will also boast an attractive 10-hour battery and 8MP camera built in.
The tablet will include a thunderbolt 3 connection, boasting 8x faster transfer speeds than those provided by USB 3.0. With a magnetic keyboard dock featuring a precision touchpad and illuminated keys the XPS 12 looks to enable the creature comforts of both a tablet and a laptop.
Titled for an October release date, the XPS 12 will not only be going against the Surface 4 which is set to be released at Microsoft Mega Event, but also the Apple iPad Pro.
Are you looking for a new Tablet or Laptop? Would the XPS 12 interest you? Or are you more of an iPad or Surface person?
