With Just Cause 4 releasing just a couple days ago, it’s clearly been a game of interest to many. It would seem that a number of these interested parties also include the cracking community as with any new game to include the latest version of Denuvo, it’s always a matter of curiosity how long the anti-piracy measure will remain intact.
Well, in a report via DSOGaming, not very long at all. The report has found that that Just Cause 4 has been successfully cracked within less than 24-hours from the launch.
There is, of course, more to this than meets the eye. For example, the version of Denuvo included (5.3) was the same version used on Hitman 2. A game which was also, incidentally, cracked within a few days of launch. It is, therefore, a matter of some curiosity as to why they bothered including it at all. I mean, it had already clearly been compromised!
We’ve said on many occasions that while various anti-piracy measures are, generally speaking, necessary for developers, they simply don’t seem to work! At least, not for very long! It will certainly add to the many calls from gamers who would simply like to stop seeing this being used. It would, of course, require a suitable replacement to be put in place and, for the moment, no one seems to want the job!
