Designcord 5 Metre Autorewind Cable Reel Extension Lead Review

UsageThe particular Designcord that we had delivered to us is a 5 metre length but other country specific reels come in various lengths including 3 metres and 10 metres depending on country and design wanted.

To use the autorewind feature, you simply have to press the button on top and hold to retract the whole length of the cable but be warned it does rewind very quickly so make sure no body parts are in obstruction of the cord.

The Designcord also has overheating protection with an included reset switch. If the Designcord reel gets too warm, the overheating protection kicks in which is when the manufacturer advise you to remove all plugs from the reel and to press the reset button once the unit has returned to a cool temperature. Once this has been done, you can continue to plug your devices back into the reel and carry on using it again.
