Deux Ex: Mankind Divided is certainly no slouch in the graphics department, as even a high-end and overclocked CPU combined with a high-end card such as the GTX 1080 can be given a good thrashing at 4K resolutions. The latest update for the game adds DX12 multi-GPU support, bringing around 50% performance boosts for those using SLI configurations on the GTX 1070 and GTX 1080.
The DX12 update only launched a few days ago, and while it still suffers slower performance for Nvidia users, it’s great to see the developers are working hard to push the driver support and the engine to the next level, rather than just leave the performance as it is. For now, we still think that single GPU in DX11 is the best option for most Nvidia users, DX12 for most AMD users, but if you are sporting a pair of high-end Nvidia cards and eager to max things out at 4K, the new update is a step in the right direction.
